Wynn Stages Shanghai’s Hottest Cabaret with All-Star Cast from Candor Presenting immersive Cabaret theatrical experiences in Macao for the first time

This summer, Wynn Palace is heating things up as it welcomes an all-star dance troupe from CANDOR – Shanghai’s famed Cabaret theater – to the Macao stage for the first time. An elevated production of “Welcome To Babylon” created by CANDOR is set to premiere at the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee on July 19-20, 26-27 and August 2-3. For these limited dates only, the talented cast of performers will present a sensational, multi-sensory show that is full of surprises, exclusively at Wynn. Through this new CANDOR Cabaret show, Wynn continues to introduce diverse and culturally entertaining experiences for Macao residents and tourists from around the world in support of the Macao SAR Government’s “1+4” appropriate diversification development strategy and the development of the non-gaming sector. 

The history of Parisian “Cabarets” evolved in the 1880s and most famously with the legendary Moulin Rouge Cabaret, where a variety of vibrant art forms come to life on stage, from song and dance to comedy and drama. Cabarets are also well-known for presenting captivating and enthralling performances while closely engaging with audiences. As an immersive Cabaret theater in Shanghai, CANDOR is a top-tier destination for Cabaret performances in China. Since its establishment in 2015, the theater has garnered fame for its unique Cabaret shows and is one of the most popular cultural experiences in Shanghai. 

Making its debut in Macao, CANDOR will showcase a captivating fusion of sass and elegance from traditional Cabaret performances, stimulating every sense and providing an immersive Cabaret experience. The all-new “Welcome To Babylon” production is themed around the mystery and intrigue of ancient Babylon and will be performed by an all-star cast of entertainers. Three world-class performers – Alexander, celebrated as one of “China’s most popular Western male dancers and choreographers”; Kateryna, who has garnered many prestigious global awards for her versatile talents in singing, playing instruments, and acting; as well as Cocosanti, the “Bearded Queen” who has taken Shanghai by storm with her dramatic Cabaret and burlesque performances – will lead a team of talented actors to stage a scintillating performance in Macao.

Tailormade for theatrical shows such as these, the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee will be transformed into an enchanting “Cabaret Night” by magically recreating the glitz and glamor of the Paris Moulin Rouge in the 1880s. Staged in an intimate setting, audiences can escape reality as they are captivated by mesmerizing dance performances, eye-catching makeup and costumes, the spectacular stage design, and close-up encounters with the performers themselves. Throughout this truly immersive multi-sensory experience, guests will feel the vibrancy, energy, and suspense of the show all around them. 

As the perfect complement to the CANDOR Cabaret show, Wynn’s award-winning culinary team will prepare exceptional dishes paired with fine wines. The chefs will use only the highest of quality ingredients and meticulous cooking techniques to present dishes that are full of color, alluring aromas, and bursting with flavor to tease the taste buds. Paired with an intoxicating array of exceptional wines, audiences can immerse themselves in a once-in-a-lifetime multi-sensory experience where sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and happiness all come together at Wynn. 

The all-star cast of CANDOR will perform two shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on July 19-20, 26-27, and August 2-3.
