Sands China Ltd. Macau Open Badminton 2024

In celebration of the 25^th anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Sands China Ltd. and the Badminton Federation of Macau will jointly organise the “Sands China Ltd. Macau Open Badminton 2024, Part of The HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300”, which will commence on 24^th to 29^th September 2024 at the Macao East Asian Games Dome, Macao.

Sands China Ltd. will fully support the Macao Special Administrative Region Government to demonstrate the cross-sector integration of ‘tourism + sports’ and further enriching Macao’s positioning as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

As the first world-class international badminton tournament held in Macao after the Paris Olympics Games, the tournament will be held in 5 events: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The total prize money for the tournament is US$210,000 (about MOP$1.68 million). Around 20 countries/regions with 400 world famous top players had been attracted and come to participate in the past tournaments.
