Establishing premier international sporting events and fostering Macao’s sports tourism development

Organized by Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., supported by Macao Government Tourism Office and the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and coorganized by Sailing Up Sports, the prestigious “Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters” will return at the Wynn Palace from December 25 to 28, 2024. During the press conference today (October 31) at Wynn Macau, five world-class snooker players, including Mr. Ronnie O’Sullivan, a seven-time World Snooker Championship winner; Mr. Jack Lisowski, first runner-up of “Wynn Presents – 2023 Macau Snooker Masters”; Mr. Jak Jones, first runner-up of the 2024 World Snooker Championship; Mr. Marco Fu, legendary Hong Kong snooker player; and Mr. Si Jia Hui, future snooker star, shared their preparation tips for the tournament.

Ms. Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Wynn Macau, Limited, expressed her enthusiasm during her speech, said: “Wynn is committed to hosting premier international sporting events, establishing a diverse global perspective for Macao. ‘Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters’ not only advances Macao’s “Tourism + Sports” strategy but also offers a diversified travel experience for locals and visitors, contributing to the development of Macao as a ‘City of Sports’.” Ms. Chen then took the opportunity to officially welcome Mr. Ronnie O’Sullivan as the “Wynn Brand Ambassador”, joining hands in promoting and increasing the popularity of snooker, enhancing Macao’s appeal to international visitors, and further elevating its global recognition.

Seven-time World Snooker Champion Mr. Ronnie O’Sullivan said: “I would like to thank our organizer, Wynn, for inviting me back for the tournament again. As the Wynn Brand Ambassador, I am very honored to be working alongside Wynn in promoting and increasing the popularity of snooker around the world. Meanwhile, I can’t wait to have fantastic games with all these outstanding players in Macao by the end of this year, while celebrating the festive season with our fans!”

The 2024 Macau Snooker Masters returns with a new playing format: A challenge match will be conducted with “Wynn Brand Ambassador” Mr. Ronnie O’Sullivan, who will take on the world’s best players in the format Best-of-7 frames to hype up the excitement. The tournament has extended the invitation to a total of nine world elite snooker players to compete at Wynn Place from December 25 to 28, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Ding Jun Hui, Marco Fu, Judd Trump, Jack Lisowski, Stuart Bingham, Jak Jones, Kyren Wilson, and Si Jia Hui.
