The 2024–25 East Asia Super League (EASL) season will feature four thrilling games at Macau SAR’s Studio City Event Center!
The Macau Black Bears — the first professional basketball club in Macau — make their EASL debut in Group B. Beginning on Oct. 30, they take on the Ryukyu Golden Kings from Japan’s B.LEAGUE. Ryukyu won its franchise’s first domestic league championship in the 2022-23 season and finished as runners-up this past season.
Then, on Nov. 6, the Black Bears take on reigning KBL Champions, Busan KCC Egis. In 2023-24, the Egis clinched its sixth KBL championship and became the first-ever KBL team to win as a No. 5 seed heading into the postseason.
On Dec. 11, the inaugural Macau Classic tips off by showcasing an exciting doubleheader. In the first matchup, the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots, runners-up from Chinese Taipei’s P. LEAGUE+, will take on South Korea’s KBL runner-up, Suwon KT Sonicboom. In 2023-24, Taoyuan finished first in its regular season standings while Suwon KT reached its second-ever KBL Finals but lost to Busan KCC in five games.
Following this, Macau will face off against the reigning P. LEAGUE+ champions, the New Taipei Kings. Headlined by former NBA superstar Jeremy Lin, New Taipei’s matchup with the Black Bears is assured to be a spectacular showdown.
